The Casa de los Muñecos is a clear example of the fabulous use of Talavera. On its facade, 16 boards representing oriental characters popularly known as "los muñecos", which according to history - or gossip - are a mockery of the councilors who opposed the construction of this house, more sumptuous than government houses.
After its restoration, it became the headquarters of the Museum of the Autonomous University of Puebla. Within its rooms the University Pinacoteca collection is exhibited, which is composed of more than 200 colonial paintings, as well as temporary exhibitions in the Francisco Xavier Clavijero and Francisco Xavier Alegre rooms.
